AI Video Ideas That Work for TikTok

TikTok rewards videos that communicate something in the first second and hold a single clear idea for their whole length. That constraint actually plays to AI video's strengths — short, focused clips with one subject and one action are exactly what current models generate most reliably.
Formats that tend to work: a single striking product or scene shot with slow, deliberate camera movement (an orbit, a push-in, a slow pan); a short "what if" visual concept; an atmospheric establishing shot you narrate or add text over; or a stylised loop. Generate these at 9:16, 5–10 seconds, and keep the prompt to one subject and one motion.
Formats that tend to fall flat: anything that needs readable on-screen text baked in, multi-shot sequences with continuity between scenes, or a specific real person. Add text as an overlay afterwards, stitch multiple separate generations in your editor rather than asking for a scene change mid-clip, and avoid prompts that depend on a recognisable individual.
Whatever the concept, plan the hook as a separate decision from the clip. The strongest AI-generated visual still needs a reason for someone to stop scrolling in the first frame — a caption, a question, or an unexpected image — and that is usually something you add on top, not something the model provides.
